7+ Days of Wonder
The Courses
In South Africa, the landscape is part of the game. Mountains frame the fairways, wind shapes the shot, and every tee offers something worth stopping to take in. Here, every round becomes part of the adventure.

Winelands, Paarl
Jack Nicklaus Design
A Nicklaus course asks you to think before you swing. Pearl Valley rewards accuracy, patience and the ability to plot your way around trouble, all beneath the Drakenstein Mountains.
Winelands, Stellenbosch
Peter Matkovich Design
A thinking golfer's course in the heart of Stellenbosch. Ancient oaks, vineyards and mountain views frame a layout that rewards placement rather than brute force.
Hermanus, Walker Bay
Coastal Championship
Golf with the Atlantic at your shoulder and Walker Bay stretching beyond the fairway. The setting is dramatic, but don't let the scenery distract you. Wind and exposed coastal holes make this a very different test.
Watch for: Whales in Walker Bay
Hermanus, Bot River Lagoon
Peter Matkovich Design
Water and mountains dominate the view, but the real challenge is finding the right line through the course. Set beside the Bot River Lagoon and Kogelberg, Arabella is as much about reading the landscape as reading the greens.
Garden Route, George
Gary Player Design
One of South Africa's great resort courses, and a proper test of ball striking. Tight lies, sculpted bunkers and undulating greens demand precision, while the Outeniqua Mountains provide an imposing backdrop.
Garden Route, George
Gary Player Design
More generous off the tee than Montagu, but don't mistake width for forgiveness. The greens can deceive, the elevation changes alter your club selection, and the surrounding forests make every hole feel distinctly Garden Route.
Extend Your Game
For those who wish to linger longer, these exceptional courses can be woven into any bespoke itinerary — each one a worthy addition to your South African chapter.
Garden Route, George
Gary Player Design
Ranked among the world's top 50 courses. This is the crown jewel — a links-style masterpiece available on extended stays. A round here is a privilege earned.
Mossel Bay, Garden Route
Peter Matkovich Design
Carved into dramatic clifftops above the Indian Ocean, Pinnacle Point is one of the world's most visually arresting courses — every tee shot framed by sheer rock faces and crashing surf.
George, Garden Route
Historic Parkland
One of South Africa's oldest and most venerable clubs, set beneath towering oaks and the Outeniqua Mountains. A classic parkland layout steeped in golfing history.
Cape Peninsula, Constantia
Peter Matkovich Design
Set within a historic 17th-century wine estate on the Cape Peninsula, Steenberg combines challenging mountain-framed golf with world-class winelands hospitality.
Your Hosts
Throughout your journey, a former professional golfer is by your side — your personal host, playing companion and guide to every course.

PGA Golf Professional & Tour Host
Garden Route Specialist
A PGA professional based in George, South Africa, Robert has played the Sunshine Tour, Sunshine Legends Tour, Challenge Tour, Alps Tour, European Tour, and U.S. mini-tours — including three years living and competing in America. Thirteen years coaching in Switzerland and nine as Head Coach at Kingswood Golf Estate pair deep technical knowledge with genuine warmth. He knows the Garden Route's courses, conditions, and hidden gems intimately, and welcomes guests in English, Afrikaans, and German — making every round feel effortless on and off the course.
"Guiding golfers through my home turf is more passion than profession — I love sharing this game and this country."

PGA Professional · Senior Sunshine Tour
Fancourt & Garden Route Specialist
Vaughn is a PGA Professional with decades of experience at the highest level of South African golf. Across his career he has played more than 500 Sunshine Tour events, gaining first-hand knowledge of virtually every premier course in the country. Now competing on the Senior Sunshine Tour and coaching at the Fancourt Golf Academy, he pairs elite playing experience with a genuine passion for sharing the game. His local expertise, professional insight, and warm hospitality make every tour more than a round of golf — it's an authentic South African golfing experience.
"Whether it's a championship layout or a hidden gem, every course here has a character — I love helping guests read it and play it well."

Retired Sunshine Tour Professional
Fancourt Ambassador · Southern Cape
Turned professional in 1997, Titch amassed 10 Sunshine Tour victories and 18 runner-up finishes, along with wins on the American mini-tours and the Challenge Tour. A standout from his junior days, he won the 1993 World International Junior Masters in Buffalo, New York, and the 1996 SA Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play. Off the course, he founded a charity golf day in his hometown of Port Elizabeth that ran for nine years as the town's best-attended golf day, raising funds for a child with cerebral palsy. Since an accident forced his retirement, he has made his home in George, playing the amateur circuit as an Ambassador for Fancourt and the Southern Cape Golf Union.
"Golf has given me everything — now I love giving back, on the course and off it."

Touring Professional · DP World & Sunshine Tour
Cornish-Born, Welsh Representative
A touring professional from Cornwall who represents Wales, Rhys turned pro in 2012 after a standout amateur career that reached 49th in the world. He has since amassed over 300 professional starts, with two Challenge Tour wins, three Sunshine Tour victories — the latest the 2024 SDC Open at Zebula — a DP World Tour top-10, and three major appearances. He made the cut at both the 2018 Open at Carnoustie and the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach, where his second-round 66 ranks among the venue's lowest scores. He now has 70 DP World Tour starts and continues to compete on the Sunshine Tour and HotelPlanner Tour.
"I love the game of golf, and being able to compete continues to be a privilege. Sharing my experiences and knowledge is who I am and a passion I can't wait to share."
